Who we are
Hookly is operated by the Hookly team ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at ganzaroli.nicolas02@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account data. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and Google account ID. We don't receive or store a password.
- Your content. Ads you import or upload, the shots cut from them, product photos, the subjects, rooms and products you create, your prompts and the images and videos you generate.
- Billing data. Your plan, your credit balance and a ledger of credit movements, and the Stripe customer ID linked to your account. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout and never reach our servers.
- Technical data. A session cookie that keeps you signed in. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Why we use it
- To provide the service (performance of our contract with you): signing you in, storing and processing your content, running the generations you ask for, keeping your credit balance.
- To take payments (contract and legal obligations): subscriptions, top-ups, invoices and the records tax law requires.
- To keep Hookly secure and working (legitimate interests): preventing abuse, fair use of the job queue, fixing errors.
We don't sell your data, we don't use your content to advertise Hookly without your permission, and we don't train AI models on it.
Who processes it for us
We share data only with the providers that run parts of the service, and only what each one needs:

Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards the GDPR provides for, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Account data and your content: as long as your account exists. To have it erased, ask us to delete your account; we do so within one month.
- Imported source videos: deleted as soon as they are cut into shots. Files sent to Kie.ai for a generation are deleted by Kie.ai within about a day.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is closed.
- Sessions: until you log out or the session expires.
Cookies
Hookly uses only cookies that are strictly necessary: one that keeps you signed in and a short-lived one that protects the Google sign-in. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we'll ask for your consent first. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Write to ganzaroli.nicolas02@gmail.com and we'll answer within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Hookly is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email before material changes take effect.
