Terms of Service

Last updated: October 20, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Hookly ("Hookly", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Hookly you accept them. If you use Hookly for a company, you accept them on its behalf.

1. The service

Hookly lets you import ads and other footage, cut it into shots and use third-party AI models to generate new images and videos from them, for example by replacing the person, the room or the product. We may add, change or remove features over time.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account and must be at least 18. Keep access to that account secure: you are responsible for what happens under your Hookly account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.

3. Credits, plans and payments

4. Your content and how you use it

You're responsible for everything you import, upload, generate and publish with Hookly. In particular, you confirm that you have the rights you need and you agree not to:

Some advertising platforms, including Meta, require AI-generated or altered content to be labelled. Following those rules is your responsibility.

5. Ownership

You keep all rights to the content you upload. As between you and us, the images and videos you generate are yours, subject to any rights third parties have in the material you started from and to the terms of the AI model providers. You give us a limited licence to store, process and send your content to our providers, only to run Hookly for you. We claim no other rights over it.

6. AI output

Generated content can be inaccurate, can contain artifacts and can unintentionally resemble existing people or works. Review everything before you publish it. Models sometimes refuse a request; in that case the credits are refunded and you can try again.

7. Availability

We work to keep Hookly running, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features that depend on third parties, such as importing from social platforms or a specific AI model, may stop working if those parties change or block them.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Hookly at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk; where reasonable we'll warn you first. Unused credits from plans you cancelled or accounts closed for a breach are not refunded, unless the law requires otherwise.

9. Liability

Hookly is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

You agree to compensate us for claims by third parties that result from content you created or published with Hookly in breach of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll tell you about material changes in the app or by email at least 14 days before they apply; if you keep using Hookly after that, the new terms apply.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country where we are established. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring a claim there.
